Sapphire Clarity - Why it is Important

These three sapphires may look equally beautiful to an ordinary eye when we see them in real. But with good lighting and magnification, they are entirely different. Particularly when photographed in high resolution, these inclusions are easily highlighted. See how clean the sapphire in the centre is. Our sapphires are clean and lustrous, only a few in thousands found in this clarity.

round blue sapphire with inclusions

Blue Sapphire with Inclusions

This is s typical example of an inexpensive sapphire in the market. This sapphire is about 5mm in diameter and therefore, we cannot observe any of these inclusions with our naked eye. However, these inclusions made the sapphire less lustrous. We cannot see this lack of quality in lustre unless we compare it with another more lustrous sapphire.

Blue Sapphire Clean Quality

A very clean Blue Sapphire

This is a very clean sapphire. Not only we cannot see inclusions with our naked eye, but even with magnification, we can only see inclusion on its side at the bottom. We pick this sapphire to demonstrate that some inclusions like these do not affect the quality of the gemstone, especially when they lie on the sides.

Highly included blue sapphire

Highly included Blue Sapphire

This is a highly included blue sapphire. This level of inclusions can be seen by the naked eye and also we can observe the dullness in lustre without comparing it with other sapphires.
